HOW IÂ SHOW UP
As a therapist, I am an active participant. I maintain a curious stance, while also offering radically honest feedback. I am approachable and authentic, yet challenging and direct. My style is experiential and somatic, at times bypassing the cognitive mind, which can be a sneaky distraction from the unconscious forces that so often hijack our lives without our consent. I find value in holding compassionate space for us to sit in an emotional experience. I also feel comfortable serving as a tuning fork to direct your attention to the experiences that you work so hard to avoid. Shedding light on your defenses in the real time can help you to confront patterns that are no longer serving you so that you can get back in the driver's seat of your own life.

I want to help you embrace all the aspects of yourself so that you can find a home within your own body. It is my goal to create a safe environment for you to show up exactly as you are. Healing complex trauma is a vehicle for transformation on a personal and collective level.
CLINICAL EXPERIENCE
I feel very grateful and proud to have chosen a career that is in alignment with my personal values. I have been working in this field for 10 years with adults, adolescents, children and families in private practice, acute inpatient care, intensive outpatient and residential treatment settings. I have a particular passion for serving vulnerable populations including trauma survivors, the chronically suicidal, co-occurring disorders, military service members and those from multicultural backgrounds.

This work constantly fascinates me and I am inspired by the people that I work with every day. You keep me energized and eager to keep investing my life into the science of psychotherapy and human relationships. My unwavering interest in the human experience and the profound effect of trauma has inspired me to develop various treatment programs at the intensive outpatient level (IOP) to include: Multifamily IOP to treat chronically suicidal youth and their families, Military Sexual Trauma Survivors IOP and a Trauma-Focused IOP for military service members suffering from combat related PTSD.
I truly value walking beside my clients as a witness to their journey toward wholehearted living. I believe my professional tenacity has broadened my scope of practice and provided the clinical and relational skills to deliver culturally competent and trauma-informed care to humans from all walks of life.
